Challenge:
As headquarters for the Lynn Insurance Group, the 225,000 square-foot Lynn Financial Center also houses the umbrella corporations of Lumberman’s Underwriting Alliance, the LIG Insurance Agencies, Inc. and U.S. Epperson Underwriting Company.
The new $30 million headquarters, located within a three-story office park, is equipped with state-of-the-art features that include a 96-seat auditorium, fitness center, data center and conference rooms. The sophisticated AV system would reflect a sleek and seamless integration, in collaboration with interior architecture by L.A. Design Inc.
Solution:
While two 40" NEC monitors greet those on the first floor lobby, 40" Samsung displays are located near the main elevators on each floor. With a Visix system running as the backbone for this digital signage technology, the most current company news and events can prominently be featured at any given moment.
The main auditorium system has features that include a customized, display-equipped lectern, and a Smart Sympodium interactive panel that allows for annotative capabilities. At the heart of this new technology is a ceiling-mounted DLP projector by Christie, along with Da-Lite’s 7' x 9' ceiling-mounted recessed electric projection screen. The audio system is fully-enhanced by the installation of eight ceiling-mounted speakers. Control of this newly installed system is accomplished through Crestron’s 15" wired color touch screen control panel.
The third floor boardroom features a high-resolution DLP projector, resulting in crisp, clear imaging performance on the installed 7' x 9' Da-Lite screen. Additionally, a 65" Panasonic plasma display was installed into the custom millwork for use during videoconferencing sessions (featuring Tandberg 3000 MXP codecs). A high-resolution camera, mounted over the display, feeds images through to the boardroom’s new videoconferencing system.
Additionally, the boardroom is equipped with six Extron motorized pop-ups, seamlessly installed into the executive table and enhanced with button microphones. Presentations are also boosted by the integration of six white ceiling-mounted speakers, which are installed on either side of the conference table. All audio is processed by a Biamp Audia system, which allows for versatile program control, as well as echo cancellation of the microphones during videoconferencing sessions. The addition of a 15" wireless color touch screen control panel gives presenters easy manageability over all the AV technology, including the lighting and window shade systems.
