Salvador Dali Museum Display Systems
Salvador Dali Museum, St. Petersburg, FL
Challenge:
The Salvador Dali Museum is the flagship of cultural tourism on the West Coast of Florida, welcoming over 200,000 visitors each year from around the world. The museum houses the largest collection of works outside of Europe by the 20th century Spanish surrealist, and also features the work of artists with a similar vision.
Recently, the Dali Museum presented a mass culture exhibit, highlighting the film works of Spanish surrealist artist. Our company was tasked with designing and integrating a sophisticated AV system for each of the museum's viewing stations.
Solution:
Our teams seamlessly integrated the new AV technology into the Dali Museum so as not to distract from any of the displayed artwork. The installation consists of an integrated display and audio system for seven different venues housing several different themes of Dali's works. The system is specially designed to enhance the spectacular exhibits with high resolution visuals and sound. The audio system in several of the venues consists of sound domes to allow small groups of listeners to experience the audible side of Dali's creations.
Equipment Highlights:
32" dome sound domes; dome amplifiers w/ EQ; dome ceiling mount; 20" active matrix LCD monitors; LCD monitor wall mounts; progressive scan DVD players
