Challenge:

The First Baptist Church of Hendersonville had been using an analog production system to capture and broadcast sermons and programs. They wanted to expand and upgrade their existing analog production system to a digital one and turned to our company to design a new system, as well as integrate segments of their existing equipment.

Solution:

Our teams designed and installed a new video production control room, equipping the church with digital technology that makes it easier to edit audio/video recordings. The control room system serves triple duty providing production, image magnification and light editing capabilities. The installed technology features a new digital production switcher, as well as digital conversion where necessary.

Since the actual images are turned into digital signals, shots taken can be viewed, rearranged, cut, and have special effects added with a simple computer. With this new technology, elements can also be changed, including backgrounds and foregrounds. Editing this way does not affect the original video and analog editing can be done by manually splicing and rearranging each frame. In addition to these upgrades, our teams integrated new monitors, control room furniture and an intercom system.
